Items like the stone sign over the door were restored and preserved as part of the history of the builing Adaptive Reuse

J K Janiga Architects gave new life to this historic church with the renovation and conversion to high-end residential apartments. The unique elements of this building such as large stained glass windows and high ceilings were saved and restored to create one of a kind living spaces, ones that could never be obtained in a new building. By keeping an open mind and creatively using the existing spaces, this historic Baptist church in downtown Ann Arbor was able to be preserved, thus saving a piece of history.
